RECIPES // Banana Bread

Fun fact: I used to love bananas, but then I developed a bad case of asthma when I was young so my grandma made me stop eating them. When my asthma finally got better and I tried bananas again, I could not stand the texture + the taste. Finally, I braved trying a piece of banana bread and fell in love. I still really dislike actual bananas, but I am a huge fan of all banana pastries from banana bread to banana chocolate chip cookies :)

Anyways, I'm sharing with you all a recipe that I borrowed from my boyfriend's mom - who was the one who got me back on the banana baked goods loving train with her delicious banana bread.

Time: Preparation ~ 10 minutes | Cooking ~ 22 minutes

Servings: 7-8

2 Large Ripe Bananas

2 Tbsp of Butter

3/4 cup Sugar

1 Egg

1/2 Tsp of Vanilla

1 1/4 cup of Flour

1 1/4 Tsp of Baking Powder

1 Tsp Soda

1 Pinch of Salt

1.  Mix all wet ingredients

2. Add dry ingredients into same mixing bowl

3. Sprinkle cinnamon + sugar on top

4. Bake @ 350 F until done ** (Around 20-25 minutes)

** Banana bread is done when you stick a toothpick into the centre and toothpick comes out clean with no crumbs attached **
