MY BABY ESSENTIALS | BEST BUY BABY SALE
I am officially in month 6 of my pregnancy and it feels like everything has just flown by! So much so that I already feel behind on getting all our baby essentials ready for baby’s arrival.
Thankfully, Best Buy Canada has their Baby Event on right now!! If you’re not familiar, bestbuy.ca is a great spot to check out for parents and parents-to-be who are looking for the best gear for their little ones. They have essentials like monitors to car seats to cribs, and play yards!! Plus, it can all be done online with a secure online checkout, which makes it a go-to resource for me while I prepare for baby from home!!
This is our first baby, so needless to say, we are quite overwhelmed with all the different items available, especially with the vast number of brands out there too!
I have an ongoing list of things we think we need, and we’ve been ticking things off when we find them on sale from a brand that we’re considering. I will always be a bargain hunter even as a mama-to-be! The plan is to sale hunt until we get a little bit closer to the delivery date (June 5!!) and then bite the bullet and get all the final items we’ve been waiting on.
A baby monitor and formula machine are on our baby list. When I was looking through bestbuy.ca and saw that the Angelcare 5” Video & Movement Baby Monitor with Night Vision & Two Way Communication and Baby Brezza Formula Pro Advance Baby Formula Dispenser were on sale, I made sure to pick them up!
I personally found out about the Baby Brezza machine from someone who had one and loved it so much. I hadn’t actually considered it something I thought I needed. However, after further contemplation about how variable everyone’s breastfeeding journey could be, I wanted to be prepared with a formula system option too.
The Baby Brezza mixes, heats, and dispenses formula or water perfectly and instantly for time-saving and convenience! It has digital controls and an LCD control panel that make it easy to set up and it’s super simple to use the fully customizable mixing system. There are 3 warming settings so I can customize it to whatever baby ends up liking! The best part is that it’s compatible with all bottle brands and sizes and virtually all formula brands and types. So I can easily change the bottle/formula brands as I try to figure out which one baby likes best! Plus, the Baby Brezza has a quieter water pump so it won’t disturb baby if they’re napping! I’m so excited to have this machine in our baby arsenal so we’re ready for anything 😊
Finding the right baby monitor was definitely one of the harder decisions to make because there are so many different options. Did I want one that had an app on my phone, or one that had its own monitor screen so I could still use my phone normally? Did I want a two way communication system? When I saw the Angelcare on sale, I thought it was meant to be because it checked off a lot of the criteria that we were looking for.
I love that it has an always-alert movement monitoring that will give me a peace of mind! The system has a non-intrusive sensor pad that goes under the baby’s mattress to monitor movement and can keep me updated at all times. The Angelcare has a 5” LCD touchscreen that will give me a clear picture of baby that also has infrared night vision that gives clear picture without needing any extra light source that could potentially disturb the baby, which I hear is super important for them to get on a good sleep schedule! Our house is also quite old and the temperature varies by room, so I love that the Angelcare system actually has a room temperature display so we can always make sure the nursery is never too cold or warm. The two-way talk back system is also helpful to hear when/if baby is crying and for me to be able to communicate back easily! Another decision I had to make was if I wanted a monitor that would be mounted on the wall or something that can sit on a side table, but this one has options to do both!! So I don’t have to decide until we test each option out.
I personally know how overwhelming it can be to know where to get started on your nursery and baby essentials kit! I am thankful for brands like Best Buy that have such a good range of brands & products that I can peruse effectively and read other customers’ reviews. If you’re in the same position as I am, I’d definitely recommend bestbuy.ca as a starting point, especially while they have their Baby Event going on!
